alternative reconstruction of past history? Where is your hypothesis
for Book of Mormon origins clearly stated, for everybody to consult
(and not just the few readers of this obscure web thread)?

I can be persistent, too. Again, I have no burden of proof here. Please stop with that deceptive con game, okay? I will never fall for it. I do not have to try to invent and flesh out some "alternative" scenario than the childishly gullible one you've fallen so hard for! I'm not one of your fellow credulous dupes, sir!

Since you so very obviously never studied -- or learned, anyway -- basic logic or philosophy, let me try to point out what's wrong with the childishly fallacious unreasoning you are so desperately clinging to:

When the Michelson–Morley experiment demonstrated that the postulated luminiferous aether did not exist, that stood by itself. They were not required, as you continually seek to require me to do, to propose an alternative! Anyone who did would be laughed out of the academy, so to speak.

Likewise, when the evidence provided for an argument or hypothesis is found to be too weak or flawed to sustain the proffered conclusion, it is flat out absurd to demand that a critic provide an alternative hypothesis instead or admit that the given argument or hypothesis still stands!

Sheesh!

I do NOT have to devise and flesh out an alternative scenario or alternative hypothesis because YOURS has FAILED! YOU simply have no intellectually honest alternative but to throw it all out and start again without that too weak or too flawed premise!

In regards to the Book of Mormon, Jockers, et al. has accomplished all the work for you. You don't need that rickety old crutch anymore! You can walk erect without it!

Try it and stop demanding that I provide you with an alternative crutch!
