I see better what you're trying to do now. Without supplying personal details, I'd say that a more accurate description would be stalking. It has not happened frequently in my life but I do believe it's happened.

I'm trying to think of tying it to the "group" situation and I can't think of how to do it. IOW, what the group influence might be. We speak of it as "calling", "leading", "guiding" and "showing".

I've heard the phrase "still, small voice" but I can't say as I've heard it in this church.

Back to the issue of "calling", I assume you mean a task or assignment related thing. I'd have to say it is a matter of something coming to my attention, something I think doesn't necessarily concern me, messages I get from other people who are unaware of the initial issue, then my antenna goes up.

It is almost as if every time I turn around the same issue keeps coming up over and over and over again from unrelated sources. It is not something that I welcome, I can tell you that for it usually means a kind of stretching on my part.
