I read this statement in one of our LDS poster's profile... "Even though our Catholic and Protestant Brothers and sisters have not had the blessings of the Temple Endowment, by virtue of the restoration and temple work for the dead this situation is a technicality which will be rectified for those who truly are "pure in heart". " What is meant by the "blessings" of the Temple Endowment? Can someone list these? |

It's commonly used as a rather vague term to describe how the Mormon God supposedly blesses those that have "made it" to the temple Mormon level. In the endowment itself the words are "Health in the navel, marrow in the bones, strength in the loins and in the sinews, power in the Priesthood be upon me, and upon my posterity through all generations of time, and throughout all eternity."

Well now that she knows the butler did it, why would she sit through the whole story? You are such a spoilsport!

That hasn't stopped my family from going back at least every month for decades...

It's a portion of Biblical scripture and part of the Temple Endowment ceremony! And here I thought my navel, marrow, sinews and loins were doing alright. I'm doomed without the ceremony, right? Darn!

What chapter and verse? Or are you speaking of just bits and pieces of it?
