The old board had a nifty feature where you could mark all the current posts as being "read", even if you hadn't read them. It made it easy to find new postings. Is there anything similar available on this board? Thanks so much, rdl ps. This place ain't so bad, once you get used to it ;-) I really like the type changes and color options...now all you need is spell check and grammar control. ...so I don't have to keep going back to edit my crappy spelling Modified by rdl at Mon, Apr 22, 2002, 20:43:04 |

Your best bet for finding new messages is using the "last visit" or one of the other time menus. They pull down just the posts for the time specified.
As for a spell check, open another window and have it tuned to: http://www.spellcheck.net/

...not as nifty as the old option...but it'll do.
The problem with using another window spell checker is that you have to actually realize that a word is spelled wrong first :-(
sigh

You can actually copy and paste your entire post (5000 characters at a time) into the spell checker and check the whole thing so you don't need to realize which of your words are spelled wrong (if any).
