Hello rpcman!

I see we must signup and there are lots of administrative options for this forum.

I am somewhat used to this type of layout, it is similar to the PHPBB software.

On the frontpage of anyboard.net I read:

"All boards are allowed to have 1024 active messages, you may choose to automatically archive the deleted messages."

Does that mean active, inactive, or what? Do old posts automatically move to an inactive thread?

Eric

I believe posts are archived after 1024 messages show up. We'll kind of play this by ear though and see what changes we want to make to the default.

This forum seems like a strange place since the look is quite different. I've become so accustomed to the old one.

Is there a "Go to Top" equivilent? I noticed that there is a "Go to Topic" equivilent.

Is there a tutorial page? For instance, just above where I'm typing now, I see three boxes entitled "Private reply", "All replies are priate", and "Disallow replies". It would be nice to know more about these and other functions.

I see that links and attachments are possibly easier to create. That's nice.

I've just never spent much time on other bulletin boards, so perhaps these are dumb questions. Hopefully others can help me out!

The "Go to Top" equivilent is "Current Page". The reply options can turn the thread (from that point on) private--a feature people wanted in the old forum. For more on what things are, how things work, and what additional options we may want to use, check out the link below:
