Will religion EVER be available in a non-toxic, hypoallergenic, non-irritating formula(s)?

Will someone please put the fun back in fundementalism?

James; What is your point? Do you mean you would be happier if everyone believed exactly the same thing on religious teachings and be dead serious all the time? Sounds rather boring to me.

If there is a God, he most certainly has to have a massive sense of humor, when I consider all the rediculous concepts that people have come up with, and then claim that he is the source of their concepts.

I'm convinced he has to be doing a lot of laughing and that just might be the key as to why he invented humans.

I mean after sitting around for eons in the dark, he must have said "hey, this sucks so let their be light". He then said " and now, I need a good laugh", so he invented us.

What do you think? Do you think he appreciates us piling up mountains of myth and superstition and then blaming it all on him?

Food for thought eh?

With tongue in cheek,

TLC

Like wow...where did you come up with those ideas? What makes you think that I want people to be dead serious, or have the same ideas? I think that would be good if everyone had more tolerance in general...

What gets me upset is when people use politics, power, economics, or fire people for not being in alignment with their ideals. My boss has Jehovah's Wittness publications in various locations at work. Fortunately, HE knows the limits between his role as a manager, and his personal convictions. its something I don't want to talk about at work. We get along great, as I do think he is a great manager.

In another situation, a co-worker took it upon himself to preach to others about religion and politics during working hours. NOT a good thing...it makes me break out in hives.

TLC,

You anthropomorphic frog. Created, created NOT invented. And then you conjure up God laughing. People laugh...you have just invented “God” in man’s image (or woman’s).

And what do you mean “piling up mountains of myth and superstition”? God gave us the Bible...just handed it right over...complete...unedited...and above all TRUE. Oops... “handed” sounds pretty anthropomorphic.

Feeling rather frog like myself.

JAK; From one frog to another. Ain't it fun? Ah yes, anthromorphism. I have been accused of worse habits. I can do the same thing with a rock. Remember pet rocks? Why didn't I think of that? Guy made millions.

I forgot to create an invention, or is it invent a creation? Thomas Edison, where are you?
Thanks for pointing out my error, JAK.

To invent, you can only use raw materials that already exist. All you are really doing, is rearranging molecules to suit a vision conjured in the mind to fill a need of some kind.

To create ,however, is something quite different. You have nothing to begin with, no molecules, no universe filled with raw material, no nothing. Now, there's talent that I couldn't hope to match. But still, here we are. Go figure.

I sometimes go a little off the wall with good and decent guys like James and am wondering if I owe him an apology. He is probably convinced that I have a screw loose.

It's not that I am disrespectful in general, I just that I feel a sense of humor is indespensable to survive in this world.

And now, I'm off to my next lily pad,................ribitt!!

Thats great! Has anyone ever said that somebody had a screw TOO TIGHT? Instead of having a scew loose? I guess in our workaholic world this isn't a bad thing in most cases.
