If you have to sum up the major problems exclusive to The Book of Mormon (meaning the document itself), what would they be? I have so far come up with: 1- Pressence of steel
I don't want to debate them, I am just curious if I am missing any other major problems? |

Instead of your 1 & 4, I'd go with the influence of the KJV on it and the complete mismatch between the archeological record of Mesoamerica and it.

Thanks rpcman. I wanted to keep the discussion I was working on exclusive to the book itself, instead of focussing on the myriad of things that appear to be fallacious. Your link does provide some of that information, and I appreciate it. I just wondered if I was missing anything from my rather sparse list.

How about all the anachronistic quotations from the New Testament, Malachi, Deutero-Isaiah, etc? Scriptures that couldn't possibly have been part of the brass plates. There are also some major problems reconciling the book with Old World chronology -- for example, Christ couldn't possibly have been born 600 years after the reign of Zedekiah (Herod was already long dead by then).

This is a very bizarre coincidence. Just yesterday, having never read anything you've posted here, I was on your Web site.
